I Say…..

Nine strangers turn up at a luxury retreat. Agatha Christie had ten but Liane Moriarty’s nine strangers are much funnier and entertaining.

This is the first book I have read by Moriarty and I absolutely loved it. I read it in a couple of sittings – started it in my lunchbreak and when I eventually looked up from the pages to check the time, I realised that my lunchbreak had lasted for over two hours, so I locked my office door and carried on reading.

It was laugh out loud funny and overwhelmingly sad at the same time. As the book went on there was a growing sense of menace. I became increasingly worried about the wellbeing of the characters …. ‘And Then There Were None’ kept hovering at the back of my mind – but you’ll just have to read ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ yourself to find out their fate.
