Christmas Party? It’s SO Last Year!

Alternatives to the Office Christmas Party

Summer is over and already they’re nagging you to pay your deposit for next year’s Christmas Party.  But aren’t we over the whole getting drunk, bad dancing, embarrassing work colleagues and hangover scenario which repeats year after year?

Well, let’s think of some great alternatives!

Go to the Pantomime

Pantomimes aren’t just for kids.  Block book some seats and have a riotous night out with your work colleagues. Will you enjoy it? – Oh, no you won’t?  Oh, yes you will

Trip to the Theatre

If you don’t fancy the panto, then why not arrange a lunch or early evening meal followed by tickets to a show? See if you can book transport by coach as it’s much less trouble than getting the train.

Wreath Making

Find an evening where you can make a Christmas wreath – all materials included.  It’s fun, and you’ll learn a new skill. Have a great creative time surrounded by your friends – and a wreath to hang on the door for all your Christmas guests to admire..

Visit a Christmas Market

Whether you stay home or go abroad, there are many Christmas markets you can visit.  Have a great day out with your friends but also the opportunity to buy some presents and decorations.  Book a minibus, coach or take the train.

Arrange a charity event

See if all your colleagues can volunteer to help at a homeless shelter.  Give something back, or arrange some carol singing or visit an old people’s home to bring some company to people who may be lonely at this time of year. Get your workplace out and about in the local community – Christmas is a great time to start.
